چکیده

A fast and efficient deformation model is essential for realistic simulation of image morphing. In order to create models that are fast to simulation, we use a mass-spring system, which is applied widely in the real time animation of deformable objects. One-to-one deformation is one of the important issues in image morphing. We propose a method of detecting and removing overlaps in the process of deformation. After detecting any overlaps on a node, the external forces are set automatically on its four neighboring nodes until there are no overlaps.

The Effects of the Moving Load and the Attached Mass-Spring-Damper System Interactions on the Dynamic Responses of the Composite Plates: An Analytical Approach

In the current study, the effects of interactions of the moving loads and the attached mass-spring-damper systems of the composite plates on the resulting dynamic responses are investigated comprehensively, for the first time, using the classical plate theory. The solution of the coupled governing system of equations is accomplished through tracing the spatial variations using a Navier-type sol...

From Walking to Running

The implementation of bipedal gaits in legged robots is still a challenge in state-of-the-art engineering. Human gaits could be realized by imitating human leg dynamics where a spring-like leg behavior is found as represented in the bipedal spring-mass model. In this study we explore the gap between walking and running by investigating periodic gait patterns. We found an almost continuous morph...

Multigrid optimal mass transport for image registration and morphing

In this paper we present a computationally efficient Optimal Mass Transport algorithm. This method is based on the Monge-Kantorovich theory and is used for computing elastic registration and warping maps in image registration and morphing applications. This is a parameter free method which utilizes all of the grayscale data in an image pair in a symmetric fashion. No landmarks need to be specif...

Analytical Spring-Mass Model of Impact Behavior of Double-Walled Carbon Nanotubes

In this study, an impact behavior of spherical striker on a double-walled carbon nanotube (DWCNT) is presented based on a three degree of freedom spring-mass model and the finite element (FE) simulations. The semi-analytical solution of the transverse impact of a striker on a DWCNT is investigated by using the elasticity nonlocal theory of Euler-Bernoulli (EBT) and Timoshenko (TBT) nanobeams. T...
